The racial makeup of the county was 99.21% White, 0.09% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 0.09% from other races, and 0.28% from two or more races. 0.19% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. 39.0% were of German, 20.0% Norwegian, 7.2% English, 5.8% American and 5.0% Irish ancestry according to Census 2000. 84.5% spoke English and 15.5% German as their first language.

Liberty County, Montana

Liberty County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of 2010, the population was 2,339. Its county seat is Chester. It was established in 1920. Liberty County is also home to Tiber Dam, which is located in the south western part of the county.
